ABOUT

My Approach…

My approach is grounded, compassionate and engaging. I bring to my mentoring, guest speaking, intuitive guidance and group facilitation a sense of humour and passion about authentic communication and deep connection. I draw not only from my professional qualifications but also experience of being a mother to a teenage son and primary school daughter. My gift is providing a safe collaborative space and actively listening to people’s stories, with compassion and without judgement.

My Story…

I have always had a strong desire to work with people and hear their stories as they navigate and transition through life stages and its various challenges. Having a younger brother with Asperger’s, I developed the skill at a young age to communicate and ‘hold space’ in a way that was safe and nurturing to help him work through his emotions. I believe we create our life events through a combination of self-awareness, compassion, intuition, self-talk and action. I have discovered that most people want to be seen and heard and have the freedom to “just be” who they truly are.

My Inspiration…

I find most people want to be ‘seen and heard’. When I was working in education, a Year 12 student in one of my classes committed suicide. It is one of the darkest days of my career and is an event that has solely underpinned my direction towards sharing my gifts with others. As a mother of a teenager, I frequently question what made the beautiful young soul I was teaching not feel seen and heard. Suicide is a complex issue but unfortunately, with Australian statistics as they are, it is an issue not to be ignored. I want to create hope, that regular conversations with others can make a difference.

My Experience…

My broad experience is extensive with over 25 years in Social Work, Education, Group Work Facilitation, Guest Speaking, Marketing/PR and Business Development extending across government, private, education and community sectors.
